Question #5: Where can I find how to apply for unemployment compensation and food stamps?

These are two very specific questions about two very specific procedures, but they occur often enough in the system that a brief tutorial on each would be very useful. Does anyone have any experience of filling out either of these and, if so, could you please share your information on the process and any other details that would be helpful? Please give us your thoughts!


Here are the steps for posting a comment:

Click on the word comments at the bottom of the post.

Click on the drop down menu next to Comment as and choose Name/URL.

Click on the box below Name and type your name, then click Continue.

Click on the large comment box, type your question or questions (plus whatever else you'd like to contribute to the discussion) and then click Post Comment.

    Don’t Forget!
    Write down your access online number & the password you choose. This way you can log back on to your semi-completed application rather than having to start all over again (helpful if your session is cut short or you don’t have time to fill out the whole application at one time)!

    Bring all pertinent information with you. The library does not know your social security number, your last place of employment, or your email address and password!
