Question #7: Where can I find resume guidelines and assistance?

This can be one of the more involved questions we librarians get on a regular basis. For many of us, we point them to either Microsoft Word's Resume wizard or Ed's resume maker. But there are more resources out there and want to hear from you what the best ones are. This includes both online resources and what (in your opinion) are the best books we have on the shelf on this subject. Please give us your thoughts!

  1. At this time Worksource is holding workshops at several branches and are assisting customers in writing resumes and applying for jobs online. They are scheduled on alternate Fridays at Highlands (beginning July 10 until the end of August) and Northwest (beginning July 17). Maybe other branches who have become Access Points would like to let other branches know. Also some Branches are having resume writing workshops. We might want to put together a comprehensive list of these workshops by Worksource and library staff.
