The best website put out by the federal government which is FREE is www.usalearns.org
ReplyDeleteis recommended by people who want to learn English on the computer. We at CAL recommend this highly for all our ESL students who want to continue with English classes on their home computer. This can definitely be accessed from any computer including here at JPL.

Most colleges have an ESL program mainly for students from foreign countries. There are numerous websites and organizations that offer ESL classes and information nationwide. Lutheran Social Services and Florida State College of Jacksonville offer ESL here in the Jacksonville area. http://esllanguageschools.suite101.com

Don't forget our Recommended Websites/Non-English Resources. It has lots of good links.
ReplyDeletei would have to say colleges have the best information because they are different students who have been in the same sitution
ReplyDeleteFor ESL patrons, I would refer them to this web site: http://www.esolcourses.com/ it seems to have a great mix of lessons and games for those learning english.
ReplyDeleteAs far as becoming a US citizen, the only (and trusted, in my opinion) web site I'll tell patrons about is http://www.uscis.gov/
