Those materials in the 400's get quite the workout, as most of us know. It's a near constant request from patrons. Do you have any personal experience or patron testimony as to which publications are better than others? Also, are there any materials online that we can guide them to? Please give us your thoughts!

This question will definitely be even portions of JPL resources and online. What can you tell patrons about the periodicals in the system (both at the branches and at Main)? What do we have access to in our databases? Finally, where can they find well-organized guides online to newspaper and magazine stories? Please give us your thoughts!

Here we get into a more academic need than we are usually used to in the public library, yet there are those students from local colleges (and sometimes from high schools) that require serious sources for their assignments. Here we have a subject that comes up frequently enough through school assignments. I know from working at Main that the Literary encyclopedia sets were a great help for the high school students looking for literary criticism of lesser-known works.
